In 1937, a group of concerned hunters and anglers gathered at the Shiawassee Sportsman's Club to discuss a way to stop the spread of politics into the management of our natural resources. From that meeting, Michigan United Conservation Clubs was formed and soon became the nation's largest state-specific conservation organization. More than 70 years later, MUCC continues to fight for the rights of Michigan's sportsmen and women and for conservation.
