THE COUNTRY SMOKEHOUSE

In 1988, Steve and Sue Francis started processing deer in the garage of their Almont home as a hobby. Today, that hobby has grown into one of Michigan's largest and most respected processing facilities and specialty meat products stores. The Country Smokehouse is more than just a processor, it's a destination for Michigan sportsmen and women.  The Country Smokehouse, located on Van Dyke Road just north of Almont, has won countless awards for its jerk and sausages. For those of you who cherish your outdoor traditions, however, the Smokehouse should be best known for its generous support of MUCC and Michigan OutofDoors Magazine.
