Lake Simcoe Update

After fishin' all day on Friday and Saturday and shooting some video as well, we returned to the US border with 4 two-day limits of perch. Fishing with two walleye pros, Denny Lantzy and Steve Vandemark, we got on fish each day although condtions couldn't have been tougher. I used to like Wheel of Fortune.
Now? Not so much. For the past two hours, I've heard the unified chant from an electronic crowd followed by non-stops bells, beeps and whistles punctuated by the inebriated peals of laughter or dismay -- depending upon how those little electronic wheels stopped -- of the guy sitting at the Wheel of Fortune slot machine.

Perch, perch and more perch

Well, the gear is loaded and I'm heading off to a destination for many Michigan fishermen, even though it's a bit across the border into Canada. Lake Simco draws a lot of Michigan anglers each year because of its abundance of perch, and big ones at that. I'll be heading over there to talk a little about ice fishing techniques and maybe bring back some footage of cool gear to check out.
