The Fiberglass Pony

Just got a report from Saginaw that the river is opening up and boats being dropped in as we speak. It's simply amazing how fast that fishery can change. Just last week I had a friend who was sitting in his shanty, sending my texts that he was catching fish and now a few short days later, the same run is being fished from boats.

Not thinking, I plowed the snow from my driveway around my boat. So, I had to dig it out last night and use the four wheeler to pull it out. Funny how one week that ATV is pulling a shanty on the bay and the next it's pulling out a boat. Like my wife says, "I have too many hobbies". She just doesn't understand, it's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle.

Be sure and check back for the OD show next week because if the weather holds, we should have some killer fishing here until the season closes on the 15th. We'll try to get out and bring back some good fishing action from Saginaw.  It's a race to end and I can't wait to feel that thump on the jig! See you on the water.
